On The Art of Imagining, I have experimented with a somewhat more minimalist approach than on previous works. The occasional solo instruments are still there, but right behind them are expansive, cinematic blends of lush harmonics and dream-soaked electronica, all woven into a rich tapestry of sonic immersion we cannot (nor do we wish to) escape from.

Some of the compositions feature improvised, in-the-moment performances – but all of them are carefully composed, actually crafted, pieces of music. This is not an album that was created in just a few days’ time – in fact it took about three months to pull together. I liken the process to sculpting – what you take away is just as important as what you leave in.

The Art of Imagining offers a potent realm of restoration for those seeking an unfiltered, cathartic rinse-down of today's tech-minded, left-brained world; it invites us to locate and then hit the ‘reset’ button of our perception.
